More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am truly passionate about three things in my life. I am passionate about self-care. Self-care includes how I keep my home, how I eat, and exercise. I am passionate about my son. I am a very conscious parent. I don't simply do what is easy or fun. I am very serious about how he is being raised and what type of man I hope to see him become. Last but not least, I am passionate about my job. I have worked very hard to earn the position I am in and I truly love my work. It is a unique and specialized field that I have admired for years.

I typically spend my leisure time

In my leisure time I love to jog. I am especially excited about trail running but I will take some good tunes on my headphones and a road run any day. I love yoga. I have been practicing ashtanga and anusara styles for almost 15 years. Although my regular daily practice has dissipated, I still love to practice when I make the time. Truly anything outside sparks a light in me. I love to rock climb, water ski, bicycle, kayak, camp, snowboard, even just a picnic. I am in my happy place when I can get outside to play.

The most influential person in my life has been

Integrity.... Just one word. A person who embodies honesty, compassion, reliability, and love. A person with whom I can grow.

The last book I read and enjoyed

The last book I read and loved was The Given Day, by Dennis Lehane. It is a historical fiction novel about a police strike in New York City. I found it fascinating because it is an element of history I had never learned about. It was also fiercely entertaining because the characters were complex and well-developed.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My son
  2. My health
  3. My family
