More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am most passionate about my circle of friends. I work in a very technologically-based arena and like to broaden my horizons as much as possible with an eclectic and caring group of friends who can feed me intellectually, artistically, and emotionally.

I typically spend my leisure time

I typically spend leisure time doing anything un-related to my field, Electrical Engineering. Most of my time in Nashville has been spent taking in live music or watching sporting events, being a Duke graduate. Go Blue Devils!

The most influential person in my life has been

At this point in my life I'm really looking for people who are social and fun-loving. I'm not very interested in people who are intense or take things too seriously right now. I'm also not a subscriber, so drop me a line at jadepuck at hotmail.

The first thing people notice about me

On first meetings, people usually notice that I interact very well with others. I do all I can to put newcomers or guests at ease and try to associate myself with people who do the same. Then again, if it's basketball season, they have probably been referring to me all night as the crazy girl in the Duke t-shirt.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I really enjoy Kurt Vonnegut's work. Player Piano was one of the best books I've ever read. Definitely check it out!

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. I have the most amazing family support system in the world
  2. I have great friends who have been wonderful over the past year
  3. I have chosen a goal of running a marathon in the next year, incredibly exciting!

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I wish people would realize that I am multi-dimensional and that I have interests beyond the capacity in which you meet me. For example, people I sing with ask if I was a music major in college. I'm not sure why this insults me so much...it's not like I would be any less put-off if someone in my engineering department assumes I do nothing else.

Friends Describe me as

Ambitious, Funny, Intelligent, Loyal

A little more about me

Above all else, I need someone who realizes my independence and values their own as well. I need someone who appreciates my group of friends and does not mind spending time with them. Hey, maybe you'll even like them. I love sports (NCAA, NFL, getting more and more into the NBA) both watching and participating (volleyball, soccer, swimming, just began a marathon training schedule).
