More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I love being involved in my church. Just about anything in the wilderness, and games in all forms.

I typically spend my leisure time

Depends on the day. I spend a lot of time relaxing at home in front of a computer and TV, but some nights I'm playing softball, or at my church involved in some program or another. I also do indoor climbing with my brother on weekends. I love it when I can get out of town to the mountains (it just isn't often enough).

The most influential person in my life has been

I'm looking for another Christian. Intelligence is also high on my list.

The first thing people notice about me

Usually that I am quiet and a bit reserved, but I always try to look people in the eye and nod or smile as I pass them. Sometimes it seems that they don't notice me at all.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I got a kick out of "Wild at Heart" by John Eldredge. It talked about how men are often emasculated in our society, particularly in churches. He believes that each man truly desires three things: "a battle to fight, and adventure to live, and a beauty to rescue." I didn't agree with everything in the book, but he makes some great points. I read it with my Men's Group at church, and found it to be a great experience.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My family (parents, grandparents, and brothers)
  2. My friends
  3. My life

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I'm not as conventional a person as I often appear to be. I rarely follow a rule just because it's a rule. I am pretty opinionated, but often keep my thoughts to myself if they are likely to cause an emotional argument. I find a reasonable debate a lot of fun, though.

Friends Describe me as

Easy-Going, Intelligent, Kind, Quiet

A little more about me

I'm always up for meeting new people online, despite being something of an introvert. I'm not sure I'm up for paying as much as they want for membership yet, though.
