More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Being passionate. Does that make sense? Aside from the esoteric: food (this isn't code for I'm overweight), dinner parties, music, learning, the ocean, lots of other stuff.

I typically spend my leisure time

Sometimes I'm in the mood for drinking and going dancing. Sometimes I'm in the mood to read a book. Maybe a great restaurant with great company, or cooking at home. Watching a movie. Talking.

The most influential person in my life has been

Open-mindedness is very important. I'm not so concerned that we think alike as I am concerned that you think (or feel) the way you do for a reason and that you're comfortable with talking about why you do the things you do (or feel the way you feel) and why you are the way you are. I enjoy the differences we have, that's what makes it interesting.

The first thing people notice about me

How are you even supposed to answer this? I'm not going to poll my friends so, I'll just tell you that I don't hide much about myself and that I don't hesitate to speak my mind. I think it throws people off sometimes because most people bullshit a lot. That's not to say that I'm overly outspoken though.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I'll go ahead and admit that it was a Harry Potter book, the sixth one. Fun read. My favorite authors: Chuck Palahniuk, Noam Chomsky, Tom Robbins, Ayn Rand (from way back), Emerson, Alan Watts.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. The relationships I've had
  2. Friends
  3. Open-mindedness

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I can sometimes come off as being aloof but I'm not at all. I'm pretty easy to talk to and enjoy talking with just about anyone as long as they're not too pretentious.

Friends Describe me as

Easy-Going, Funny, Generous, Good listener

A little more about me

I just moved here, so I'm new to Portland. Also, my personality profile says that I "have to be with people." That's not very accurate - I can be very content by myself when I want to be. But, I'm used to having a lot of friends around me so, since I don't know a lot of people in town, I'm meeting as many new people as I can.
