More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Sharing time with my family and good friends, learning and exploring new things, staying grounded, and finding meaning and purpose in what I do.

I typically spend my leisure time

I walk daily with my dog, bike in the warmer days, work out regularly (yoga, pilates, strength training), cooking for others, theater, listening to classical music as well as pop, exploring new resturants with friends, reading, tending my yard, art galleries, and hanging out with my daughter--when we shop we take the light rail and only buy what we can take home! I also need to be still sometimes, to make time to stay centered, and to find peace in the nature around me.

The most influential person in my life has been

Someone with a good sense of himself, who enjoys learning and growing, has empathy for others, and a good sense of humour.

The first thing people notice about me

I'm not sure, but people stop me for directions so they must think I know where I'm going!

The last book I read and enjoyed

I read mysteries when I'm traveling, recipies when I'm at home, Time magazine at the gym, Eckhart Tolle to stay centered. The most interesting thing I've read lately is about the process of attachment--we're wired right from the beginning of life to be in relatinships. My all time favorite book is Joseph Campbell's The Power of Myth.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. my family and friends
  2. good health
  3. the chance to continue to learn and grow and share experiences.

A little more about me

I'm happy in my life, but I would enjoy a companion to share it--to explore new places, meet new people, and discuss new ideas--and then, after the adventures, to share the memories.
