More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Creative expression. I feel most alive when I'm able to create a piece of music and then sing it in a coffeehouse setting or at a folk festival.

I typically spend my leisure time

Doing art of some kind, having coffee or a meal with 1 or 2 close friends, walking, scanning garage sales, finding a great beach.

The most influential person in my life has been

Kindness

The first thing people notice about me

My voice--they turn around to see who's talking. Maybe it's because I sound a little sultry...who knows?

The last book I read and enjoyed

The Habit of Being, letters by Flannery O'Connor. She is deep and wise and funny and understands a bunch more than she says, and she raised peacocks and was always listening for God's quiet, witty, gentle voice through the noise of life.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. my growing relationship with Christ, and his love for me
  2. my two grown sons
  3. beauty in the natural world

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I think people mistake my smile sometimes for a know-it-all look, but that can't be true. I don't know half of it all. Maybe 1/64 of it all, or a bit less.

Friends Describe me as

Creative, Good listener, Intelligent, Spiritual

A little more about me

Chemistry, anatomy, music, poetry and art are not just subjects we learn in high school. If you are part Irish like me, you know a lot about me already.
