More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Giving and receiving honesty and respect, with the people in my life. Personal and professional. I believe everything in life is made better, or worse, by the respect people are treated with; everything revolves around it. I think if I am surrounded by people who value this, I can give and get support, comaraderie, energy and value through those in my life. A partner, especially.

I typically spend my leisure time

Reading, playing sports, and, honestly (!) working. I love having side projects, putting in time and effort to develop new and creative business ideas. Work is fun, to me. Of course, it only comes after I have exhausted all of the other leisure options -- especially sports and reading. I need to be regularly active, physically and mentally, to be able to relax and enjoy down time here and there.

The most influential person in my life has been

Hard to pick just one! Compassion, honesty, respect and passion for living are all close. Which one do you think is more important? (If either -- you make think them all equal, like I do.) Write to me at cjack@CFFL.com or here at EH, with your opinion -- or if you'd just like to talk.

The first thing people notice about me

Feels immodest to answer this! Friends tell me it is my wit, my tendency to make others comfortable by being fun and interesting to talk to.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Angels and Demons, the book Brown wrote before DaVinci Code. I'm rereading Michael Moore's Stupid White Men and Orwell's 1984 at the moment. And Ayn Rand (Atlas Shrugged).

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Opportunities to learn (grad school, and life in general)
  2. Having the chance to raise my son
  3. Being in good physical and mental health

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

My desire to meet and befriend people who share my interests. I try very hard to make new friends whenever I meet new people or am in new situations. It is a sincered desire to broaden my circle of friends, never a superficial attempt to just engage in small talk.

Friends Describe me as

Easy-Going, Genuine, Good listener, Intelligent

A little more about me

I would like a chance to share a few thoughts about who you are and who I am, to decide if we would likely become good friends. Email is fine (cjack@CFFL.com) as a way to get to know some things we would share had we met somewhere, got to talking and were getting to know each other.
