More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I figured out a while ago that I *love* making people laugh, and I love helping people learn and grow. I started out doing the two separately (performing improv and teaching karate), but when I combined the two as a speaker/humorist, that's when things got really got cooking.

I typically spend my leisure time

I spend a lot of time with friends when I can. TV, movies, reading on my own... When I get really motivated I write. I train and teach karate anywhere from 2-4 times a week. I *try* to get to the gym. I performed at my first open mic recently and plan on doing more of those.

The most influential person in my life has been

I'm looking for a woman who not only loves to laugh (don't we all), but loves to get silly and goofy and make others laugh too. This is not to say we can't both get serious when needed, but life is too short to not hav fun along the way. If you can talk for hours about everything and nothing, stay open minded, and laugh hysterically along the way, then we should definitely connect!

The first thing people notice about me

The first thing people usually notice is my sense of humor, which ranges from goofy to sarcastic to everything in between. I like to make people laugh, and am pretty good at getting people around me to loosen up and have fun.

The last book I read and enjoyed

"Purple Cow" by Seth Godin. It's a great marketing book whose basic premise is that if you are driving along and see some white cows, you wouldn't pay much attention. But if you then saw a purple cow, you'd definitely notice. The goal of the marketer is to crate a purple cow - something remarkable. Not a bad metaphor for trying to stand out in an online profile, eh?

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. The ability and opportunity to turn what I love into a career
  2. Judd Apatow Movies - It's nice that someone finally made juvenily humor smart and mature
  3. The Preston and Steve Morning show - For the last few years I have been able to wake up laugning - can't beat that!

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I don't think people realize that I can be a little reserved when I first meet them.
