More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I'm most passionate about my faith and my relationship with God. It colors everything about me -- the way i spend my time and money, my entertainment choices, the people I surround myself with. I love the Lord, and I love His church, and I love to see His lost children grow to have a trust in Him and to come home to His family.

I typically spend my leisure time

Leisure time? What's that? ha. Well, I am in several worship bands and spend a lot of my time (when not in school) serving in various ministries. I love to do music, and read. I love learning! I like to discuss ideas, and where we are (park, beach, home, concert, etc.)doesnt matter as much as who I'm with. I can have a great time sweeping out the garage if I'm with someone whose company I enjoy.

The most influential person in my life has been

I know I've been called to live a life of complete surrender to Christ, so a mate with a similar commitment to growing in Godliness is essential. But other qualities are important, too, like gentleness, leadership, joy, compassion, wisdom, humility and sincerity!

The first thing people notice about me

I tend to smile a lot, and can be goofy. But mostly I think people find me approachable, friendly and sincere. For example, sometimes strangers randomly come up and start telling me their life story.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I just read a couple of books by Josh Harris. I appreciate him so much because his writing is very balanced. Some people think that matters of faith are a big snore because the bible is so "old and outdated" but Josh reminds me that God is ALIVE! Right now, this very second -- breathing and shining and moving and doing things! I find that thought incredibly exciting! The Maker of the Universe wants to hang out with me! I can hardly believe it.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My amazing treasure --my daughter. She's 2, and a pure delight. I enjoy her immensely.
  2. Healthy friendships with people in my church family -- that I have folks who know about grace and who give it freely.
  3. My savior, Jesus, who encourages my heart and sustains me. I cant imagine life without Him - -Oh wait, yes i can. And it wasnt good!

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I don't know that I like to be noticed all that much.

A little more about me

The things I "can't live without" -- I can live without them. I mean, some people have a bowl, for crying out loud. A BOWL. Their only possession. In the west, aren't we just wealthy beyond measure? The things on my list I enjoy, gratefully. And I use them daily. But I could still happily live without them. (ok, except maybe the inhaler.)i can't reply to you through the eharmony site, so anything ELSE you want to find out, email me to ask. i'm friendly! ninjajinx@hotmail.com
