More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

It's hard to say what I am most passionate about, but right now, it's probably music. I enjoy lots of different kinds of music, but mostly classic rock, rock and alternative. I can also listen to classical and blues. I'm very selective about country music though. I can't take some of it. I also love watching sports. I like college football (especially SEC), Braves baseball, and NASCAR. Yes, I just admitted that I watch NASCAR! I like the competitiveness in sports, but not so much in day-to-day life.

I typically spend my leisure time

I like movies and television. I listen to music. I go visit family and friends. I'm still learning my way around Nashville.

The most influential person in my life has been

I want someone to laugh with. Everything else will fall into place as long as you can laugh together.

The first thing people notice about me

Probably... my southern accent. I get teased sometimes at work by people who are originally from the midwest. I happen to like my accent.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I have to read a lot of professional literature at work, but I think the last thing I read just for fun was The Junction Boys, about Coach Bear Bryant's first football team at Texas A&M. It had graphic details about injuries and the treatment the players received from Coach Bryant during the training camp. This book gave a somewhat different view of the man from what I've always known. Still the players who made it through his camp loved and respected him. This wasn't a typical kind of book that I read. I usually read fiction for fun, but every now and then go off on a tangent like this one.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My family. Didn't realize how much I would miss them when I moved away.
  2. My job. I found a respectable job during a tight job market and I'm getting good experience.
  3. Music. I can get lost in a song and forget about everything else.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

not sure.
