More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Theatre, social justice, thoughts and ideas, friends, reading, cats, puppets, writing, creativity, intelligence, exploration, human connection, travelling

I typically spend my leisure time

Spending time with friends and family, volunteering with various organizations, reading, theatre, playing piano, working around the house, travelling, movies, picnics and playing outside in general :-)

The most influential person in my life has been

I am searching for a man who is a progressive thinker (what others may label "liberal") with family-oriented values (what others may label "conservative"). I'm looking for a partner in life - mature, intelligent, genuine, down-to-earth, explorative, curious, creative, playful and loving. I hope to find someone who shares the desire to start a family when the time is right.

The first thing people notice about me

My intelligence, lurking behind my eyes, though I may choose not speak up initially but to listen first.

The last book I read and enjoyed

"The Wisdom of Big Bird (and the Dark Genius of Oscar the Grouch): Lessons from a Life in Feathers" by Caroll Spinney. It tells the story of actor/puppeteer Caroll Spinney's experiences and adventures as Big Bird and Oscar on Sesame Street (and what it was like working with Jim Hensen!). For someone like me, the very first of the Sesame Street generations, it is a fun remembrance of childhood!! The two most recent books before that were "House of God: The Classic Novel of Life and Death in an American Hospital" by Samuel Shem and "The Witching Hour" by Anne Rice.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My home
  2. My family and friends
  3. The opportunities I've had to travel and see the world

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I'm not sure - ??

Friends Describe me as

Creative, Genuine, Happy, Intelligent

A little more about me

I am the typical American melting pot of backgrounds, with Irish, Lithuanian, and Palestinian ancestors. I'm not into playing games in relationships and my idea of fun doesn't always have to involve alcohol. I love animals and do have two geriatric feline companions, so it would probably help if you're not allergic to cat fur :-)
