The one thing I am passionate about...
I'm not a current subscriber I cannot read messages, I can only answer your prefab questions, but, you will find a way to reach me at the very end of my profile. Thanks, Alison ANSWER: What am I most passionate about? Finding a lasting love. Maintaining my natural optimism and idealism in an increasingly complex world. Paying attention.
I typically spend my leisure time
Exercising outdoors, going to see a film, or to hear live music. Swimming laps and hiking are things I can do on my own, yet, I'm hoping to find a partner for dancing and playing tennis. By the by; back rubs for any sailors or pilots who would take me along! My family's cottage is on a lake in the Northwoods of Wisconsin and it's still my favorite place to rest and recharge though I prefer to live in the Bay Area for the climate, mindset and opportunities.
The most influential person in my life has been
If I only could have one trait then it would be compassion. But, let's say I've spent 50 years becoming the woman I am today I'd enjoy spending the next 50 years listening to someone who is endlessly fascinating and honest, kind, intelligent, curious, generous, enthusiastic, sexy and makes me laugh. I want us both to feel lucky to have found eachother.
The first thing people notice about me
Energy, confidence, enthusiasm...that I smile a lot and love wearing pretty colors.
The last book I read and enjoyed
I tend towards non-fiction. Enjoy learning about accomplished people dead or alive and I can be completely transported by historical fiction. I really admire inventive thinkers like Steve Levitt of Freakonomics and the inimitable Malcolm Gladwell.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- Living at this time in this country
- Having been well loved and having a lot of love to give
- Understanding loss and being able to be present with it
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
There isn't anything about myself that I think should be immediately apparent, yet, when someone is as energetic as I am people can forget that I am also very sensitive.
Friends Describe me as
Affectionate, Creative, Intelligent, Optimistic
A little more about me
I'm a proud Pro-Choice Democrat. Grew up in Evanston, Illinois. If you'd like to communicate directly with me my email is astewartp at geemaledotcom. Did a BA in History of Art at Mills College in Oakland, California and studied overseas with Stanford in Florence, Italy. Speak a bit of Italian and French and would love to learn Spanish. I've never been married and have no children of my own, though, I'd be happier with more of them in my life.Want to get my pilot's license, build a tree house and get a Vespa. As accustomed as I am to being alone my life could be better with the right man in it! xo Alison
