More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am passionate about so many things -- family & friends, fitness & health, science and improving society -- but my long-enduring passion is for continuing growth, throughout a person's whole life. Whether it's school when we're young, or a community course, learning new recipes or volunteer work or just improving my serve in volleyball, I want to keep growing throughout my life.

I typically spend my leisure time

I don't think I have a "typical" leisure activity. I like being active: hiking, rollerblading, volleyball, skiing, exercise. I spend time with friends. I have projects: a theatre board position or two, a monthly volunteer group, making a gift for mom. And I hope to find a book club or monthly discussion group this year, to get a little intellectual discourse during the grey months.

The most influential person in my life has been

I look for people who know themselves, know what they're up to in their lives, and who take action to get where they want to go. I sum it up as integrity and initiative.

The first thing people notice about me

Strength and intellect.Actually, they probably notice that I talk rapidly. THEN they notice my strength and intellect .

The last book I read and enjoyed

I'm reading Eragon, a kid's fantasy book, to relax my mind and just play. Before that, I read "Eats, Shoots & Leaves", which was a fun (& funny) snit about proper punctuation!

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My family & friends (including local nieces & nephews!)
  2. My health
  3. My optimistic & hard-working attitude, which has served me very well in my life

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That I do have a softer side, even if it doesn't always take the forefront.

Friends Describe me as

Energetic, Hard Working, Intelligent, Optimistic

A little more about me

I like to be active -- and for me that includes a gallery tour, a lecture, a show, a walk around the neighborhood, or hiking/skiing/blading. Just getting out there in my life.
