The one thing I am passionate about...
Having time to write, my friends and family, travelling, advancing in my career in the sense of continuing to grow and learn and be a better attorney tomorrow than I am today -- ethically, intellectually, *humanely*, etc. (I know, it's more than 1 thing...!).
I typically spend my leisure time
With friends having or cooking dinner together/at the movies/entertaining at home/at the beach (weather permitting), travelling, surfing (lessons -- I'm just beginning), running, writing, reading, playing piano.... I'm female, so you'll also find me at Anthropologie (it's a store in Santa Monica) or rejuvenating at a spa somewhere nearby. If I end up watching TV, it's usually Conan O'Brien, CSI or something on Comedy Central....
The most influential person in my life has been
Honesty, stability, great sense of humor, intelligence, ambition, romance... (all very important!).
The first thing people notice about me
Warmth -- easy to approach!
The last book I read and enjoyed
I'm currently reading "Love in the Time of Cholera", which is a beautifully written novel. . . I haven't had much time for pleasure reading lately, because I'm trying to focus on my own writing.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- my health
- my outlook on life (optimism)
- ability to adapt (ex-NY'er)
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
Nothing really -- I'm not sure what people are noticing generally -- I think that as long as someone gets to know me, they'll find many interesting traits (and vice versa). I think we all have a greater depth of understanding than is usually apparent on the surface.
Friends Describe me as
Energetic, Optimistic, Outgoing, Passionate
A little more about me
I up and left NYC this year in order to move to Los Angeles, a long-awaited journey. I'm so glad I did. I still obviously have my friends on the east coast, but being on the west coast has opened up new travel opportunities (like Australia, New Zealand and Hawaii) that I've never had before.... plus, I'm a southern girl at heart, so I've really taken to the good weather. Adios to winters (I do like to ski)! I travel quite a bit, usually somewhere at least once a month or two, but lately, all the New Yorkers keep coming out here b/c, let's face it, New York gets awfully cold these days. I love to write and am currently working on a book!
