The one thing I am passionate about...
Friendships mean everything - my family, kinfolk, close friends, ole friends, just friends, comrades, even neighbors - they're all important. A successful life would be one that has healthy relationships. To keep from becoming strangers I have enjoyed keeping a large correspondence with many. Humanity is my interest - needs & concerns inspires me - this is where my efforts get geared up & devoted.
I typically spend my leisure time
Leisure time is presently slim, still I enjoy reading, writing, taking in the local offerings, sightseeing, or out for a hike/walk. During the week its things that take little planning and can be picked up easily without requiring a lot of time. Enjoy being with others in whatever they're doing. Enjoy getting physical and a little bit competitive.
The most influential person in my life has been
Honestly, honesty is the key quality. Got to be genuine about who you are if you want to be loved for who you are. Integrity is the basis of anything good we have to share, its the basis of a sound and trusting relationship. Someone who is highly affectionate and expressive of emotions (not drama) always gets my attention - not afraid to love.
The first thing people notice about me
Others notice that I take an interest to listen to what they have to share. I enjoy smaller groups and individual visits, so I can take interest. You will find that I have a gentle manner about me, smiling easily, even prone to blush occasionally.
The last book I read and enjoyed
Founding Brothers by Joseph Ellis - this is about our nations founding fathers interacting together and against as they set the direction of our nation according to the varying visions they had. Certainly engaging. One chapter talks about Hamilton and Burr, what led up to their fatal dual(don't mean to spoil it, but Hamilton dies).
The three things which I am most thankful for
- Having a faith that gives me a solid foundation to live and build my life upon.
- To share this life with family and friends.
- Being fortunate to live in an open and relatively safe society.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
Well now! Lets see - hmmm! I am quiet by nature, yet that doesn't mean you'll have to carry the conversation, I'll be glad to join in.
Friends Describe me as
Caring, Hard Working, Perceptive, Respectful
A little more about me
I'll tend to gravitate towards needs and concerns, whether in thought or by effort. Have an interest in humanity - want to work towards helping in relief and refugee efforts abroad - which isn't in the near future, yet!
