More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I believe most in concepts. The freedom to be yourself and be supported at the same time.

I typically spend my leisure time

I am in the process of remodeling my house and also helping a good friend to do the same. I enjoy making jewelry, furniture, and sculpting. I am an avid reader. And lately I have begun to study Buddhism. I am fascinated by the parallels that can be drawn between it and quantum mechanics.

The most influential person in my life has been

Honesty is the root of all other positive personal qualities. With it, trust is fostered and connections of all types can be made.

The first thing people notice about me

I tend to speak less than most people. I have never been one to talk just for the sake of talking. I wait until I have something to say. That doesn't mean I don't enjoy listening and contributing to a conversation. Communication is paramount to understanding and I love to discuss things and learn new perspectives on issues. I enjoy expressing my views and listening to someone elses. I have so very much left to learn.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I am currently of reading "Love Dharma" by Geri Larkin. It is a book about interpersonal relationships, how to nurture a healthy and supportive connection. Ms. Larkin uses several devices to achieve this end. One is examples from Buddhist dharma (body of teachings) and the women of the time. Within each chapter there is a short history of one woman and her struggles. Then the author go on to explain how this might relate to modern life and offers insight for either coping with a situation or improving it. I appreciate the way this book organizes difficult concepts into bit sized pieces. It has given me new tools for the road ahead.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Loyal and devoted friends
  2. The opportunity to choose.
  3. The lucky breaks along the way.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I am a very warm and compassionate person but sometimes it takes time before that comes into view.

Friends Describe me as

Affectionate, Dependable, Generous, Intelligent

A little more about me

I am a very easy going person who loves to try new things and experience life.
