More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I don't think passion is about a particular interest but really more a way of life. It's not something to be confused with total happiness but rather a feeling about life and what it has to offer, the good and the bad and feeling so lucky to play the game.

I typically spend my leisure time

I love spending time with friends and family for so many reasons. Likewise, I'm comfortable in my own skin enough to do things on my own. Now that I'm through with my graduate studies I'm looking to explore more things. This includes taking part in a nature/hiking club and a public service organization. I'd like to learn how to snow board this winter but I'm a little nervous.

The most influential person in my life has been

I'm looking for someone to come home to at the end of the day where we could make dinner or share some wine on the porch sharing our highs and lows of the day, but more so about life. I love walks, be it winter nights or summer days so I'd love to be able to take walks with someone special. We could talk or just remain silent. There's something special about being comfortable enough with someone to remain silent. It's an intimacy that takes time to reach.

The first thing people notice about me

People genuinely feel a sense of comfort when they meet me because I come off as a kind individual. This is not to be exchanged with nice because that isn't necessarily as real. This is a quality for which I'm very appreciative.

The last book I read and enjoyed

A Gift by the Sea by Anne Morrow Lindberg. In this book Lindberg highlights so many of the simple things in life by the sea. It's easy to get consumed by thinking we need so many tangible things when really it's more so about the simple things in life. It's the little things in life that keep me balanced.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. I'm thankful to have my family, cousins, aunts and uncles included.
  2. I'm thankful for my friends because I really believe you're defined through the varied friendships in life. My friends are an integral part of who I am.
  3. I'm grateful for nature. I love northern California for the Muir Woods, Lake Tahoe, and everything in between. I'm happiest in a park or along the coast.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I'm very opinionated on a variety of topics but I don't share that when I first meet somebody. It takes a while to feel comfortable enough with somebody before I take part in such discussions.

A little more about me

I'm being honest in everything I write because honesty is key to any relationship. I'd ask that you not respond to my listing unless you're an honest individual on every level. Thank you.
