More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am passionate about making the world a better place. My particular vocation is helping children and young adults think for themselves and become the unique people they are created to be!

I typically spend my leisure time

With my kids or reading, cross-stitching or practicing yoga. I love to bake and enjoy a variety of things from discovering a new antique shop, to apple picking, walking on the beach at any time of the year, or chatting over tea with a friend. I am physically active and like to try new things!

The most influential person in my life has been

Compassionate/Passionate commitment - the willingness to stick it out and work things through gently in a way that meets both partner's needs while enjoying each other, helping each other grow and being able to laugh together.

The first thing people notice about me

My compassion and concern for others, as well as my intelligence and ability to articulate my thoughts, feelings and beliefs. I also have a wry and quick sense of humor.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I read all the time, several genres at once. Right now I have just finished reading a friend's doctoral dissertation, Diane Butler Bass' Christianity for the Rest of Us, and a series of three teen novels that my niece asked me to read so that we could talk about them together. I like to read things that make me think, challenge my assumptions and help me grow. I also love mystery novels. Charles Todd and Elizabeth George are two of my favorite authors.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. my children and family
  2. my faith and spirituality
  3. having meaningful work

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I am very vulnerable and easily hurt.

Friends Describe me as

Caring, Intelligent, Passionate, Spiritual
