More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am most passionate about my spiritual journey on this planet.Life is so exciting. The opportunities to grow mentally, spritually and creatively abound. There is no ceiling on our ability to grow as long as we remain open minded and honest. I believe our purpose here is to become as kind and compassionate and helpful to others as we can be.One of the ways I express my love is through my art. I am very passionate about sharing the beauty I see in life through my work.

I typically spend my leisure time

Sculpting in clay, painting, drawing and basically making art. I visit with friends and family a lot, browse antique and resale shops, read, play with my dog, take walks, travel, bird watch, enjoy movies, museums, State fair of Texas, etc. and talk on the phone too much.

The most influential person in my life has been

Kindness and a good sense of humor

The first thing people notice about me

That I am friendly, enthusiastic and a bit outrageous.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Barbara Kingsolver's The Poisonwood Bible was awesome. It is a non fiction concerning a bizarre missionary's family in the Congo.Political aspects of the Congo's struggle for freedom come into play and the individual perceptions of the diverse "cast" of characters make for a very interesting read. Her ability to build a story that creates visual images and characters to the extent that it is like walking through a technicolor movie is extraordinary.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. The love I feel for others.
  2. The love I receive from others.
  3. The opportunity to grow in my ability to love.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I really don't think about this, because I know that people who come to know me better will eventually know everything about me. I'm pretty much an open book...friendly,personable and outgoing. I think I'm more interested in coming to know the other person than in how they view me.

Friends Describe me as

Creative, Intelligent, Outgoing, Warm

A little more about me

I love New Mexico and plan to move there or at least have a place there in the very near future.
