More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Hmmm... i'm more low-key than passionate, so i'll just say what i gravitate towards most: My family. And not necessarily in the "big holiday dinner with Norman Rockwell" sense, though that's important; a night out on the town with my sisters and/or brothers and/or cousins is lots of fun, too.

I typically spend my leisure time

Reading; wishing my banjo hadn't been stolen so i could play it; playing rugby; drinking beer with friends, usually somewhere in Bloomfield.

The most influential person in my life has been

Civility. Too few people are civil anymore. I don't mean i'm looking for a woman who would be civil towards me -- i hope i could take that for granted ;) -- i mean a woman who is civil to EVERYONE. I think it says a lot about one's character.

The first thing people notice about me

My calmness & quietude. It may seem like diffidence at first, but once people get used to it they kind of appreciate it.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Life of Pi. It's about a boy (named Pi) stranded on a raft in the middle of the ocean with a man-eating tiger. Very surreal, in the non-colloquial sense, which is what i liked about it.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My parents & family and the foundation they gave (and continue to give) me.
  2. The opportunities i have had throughout life and the ways in which i have capitalized on them.
  3. Being born an American (see answer B for the main reason why).

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

My ability to make almost-perfect analogies in a variety of situations. (I suppose it's possible people don't notice this because it's not as near-perfect as i believe it to be, huh?)

Friends Describe me as

Hard Working, Intelligent, Modest, Thoughtful

Save that for later. (We'll need SOME conversation topics!)
