More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

My and other's health and well-being, a sense of fairness in the world. People's freedom and right to choose how to live their own life.

I typically spend my leisure time

I enjoy reading, spending time with friends, travel, movies and of course spending time with my daughter. I enjoy just about any outdoor activity - hiking, running, canoeing, cycling, swimming, inline skating, skiing, rowing, snowshoeing, the list goes on... I like to keep in good shape, but have fun in the process. This summer I plan to do one or two triathlons, I am organizing teams for running relays in NH and CA in the fall. Also, one of my hobbies is renovating my house.

The most influential person in my life has been

Hmm, qualities I like to think I share: Health conscious (and preferably an interested in athletics), fun-loving, adventurous, affectionate, intellectual, unpretentious, likes being with kids and/or having their own, introspective and enjoys travel. Other nice qualities would be: someone who doesn't have cable TV, listens to NPR, supports causes they feel strongly about financially and volunteering their time, is giving, caring and not necessarily perfect or driven to perfection.

The first thing people notice about me

My smile and the twinkle in my eye.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Currently I am reading "Awakening the Buddha Within" by Lama Surya Das. It is very enlightening. :) I enjoy reading both fiction and non-fiction, but especially biographies, history and anything that is thought-provoking.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. good health
  2. friends & family
  3. my daughter

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I think that what other people don't notice about me varies a lot, based on their level of interest, perspective and how perceptive they are. I guess I would like people to see me as I am - not what they want me to be.

Friends Describe me as

Caring, Funny, Generous, Physically Fit

A little more about me

Lots, but we'll leave that for later.
