More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Fairness. Trying to understand many sides to issues. Wanting to understand the people of the world and what is fair for ALL people. Trying to undrstand where we are in God's plan.

I typically spend my leisure time

My leisure time is spent reading, walking, using my digital camera and plaing/working on the computer. I enjoy posting to a couple of active forums. I do graphics work as a hobby.

The most influential person in my life has been

I prayed for ten years for God to send me a guy who was tall, dark, handsome, well to do, and a college grad.God sent me a guy who was ten years older than I, bald, poor, a high school graduate who came home from work very dirty every day, AND, the clincher...had seven kids!!!(And God laughed.)I got nothing that I asked for and every thing that I needed. From that I learned to be open to others. My ideas are not always best.

The first thing people notice about me

I have been told that people notice my intelligence. (I know a little bit about a lot of things and a lot about a few things.) I am a bit surprised by that as often the thing they think is so great is nothing deep. An example is skills with the computer. Hey! I've been at it for more than 25 years. I SHOULD know something about them.

The last book I read and enjoyed

The last "real" novel (doesn't count all the dime romances) was John Jakes Homeland. I thought it was incredible. Jakes gave a good view of the early Chicago, immigrant families, unions and family relationships. He did a pretty good job of showing the differences between the "haves" and the "have nots".

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Gift of love, the gift of my faith
  2. My intelligence that gives me the chance to have an income to give me a warm home, food, a little travel...
  3. Those who have and those who continue to share their lives with me

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I wish people would realize how sensitive I am. I come across as bold and sure of myself, but I am not all that secure. My feelings run deep. I'm a thinker.
