More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am most passionate about books and music. I love spending time at the local bookstores, and I read as much as I can. I love music, have quite a cd collection, and love to go to concerts, sometimes traveling cross-country to attend them.

I typically spend my leisure time

I like to snowboard, skydive, hike, read, cook. I love to travel, I love listening to music (everything from classical to punk to hard rock to Celtic), going to concerts, jumping in the car for an impromptu road trip. My latest project is trying to learn Irish Gaelic.

The most influential person in my life has been

Honesty, loyalty and the desire to live each day as though it were your last. Appreciating the little things without letting the "small stuff" get you down.

The first thing people notice about me

My voice. I'm told I have a wonderful speaking voice and a "golden" laugh. Of course, if you've seen my photos, you'll know it's my hair that gets noticed first! *grins*

The last book I read and enjoyed

"Idiot" by Johnny Damon of the Boston Red Sox. It's about his life, playing for the Red Sox and being on the team that finally broke "the curse". I liked everything about it, as I'm a huge Red Sox fan. My favorite books are "The DaVinci Code" and "The Mists of Avalon".

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My family. Without them I would be lost.
  2. My friends, both online and real-life. They have helped me keep my sense of humor during rough patches.
  3. My life's experiences. They have made me tough and able to laugh at myself.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

Well, it's impossible, I know, but I wish people could see into my heart and see what a loving, caring person I am, even if on the outside, I tend to laugh it off when I'm hurt.

Friends Describe me as

Caring, Funny, Romantic, Sweet

A little more about me

My best friend once described me as a "free spirit with a poet's soul". Although I've enjoyed being a free spirit and loved my freedom the past few years, there is an empty place in my soul. I'm ready to fall in love again and spend the rest of my life cherishing a special man. Life was not meant to be experienced alone...it was meant to be savored in the company of the one you love.
