More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I'm most passionate about literature, plays, movies, and writing. I truly enjoy discussing a good book, movie or play. I believe that the truth is told in fiction and that non-fiction doesn't tell all the truth. I guess I also get passionate about music - any kind. It either takes me away or makes me dance. I can't understand how some people can hear music and not want to move their head, foot - something.

I typically spend my leisure time

Writing, reading, participating in or organizing book discussion groups, crocheting, driving to the ocean, listening to music, attending plays, having the family over for dinner, going out to dinner, raising flowers, daydreaming, framing photographs and arranging them, and going to the movies.

The most influential person in my life has been

Wisdom, interested in life, friendly.

The first thing people notice about me

My eyes are usually commented on. They have been called "Spanish Eyes."

The last book I read and enjoyed

The last book I tryly enjoyued was THE LIFE OF PI, by Yann Martel. It's about an East Indian boy who is the sole human survivior of an ocean liner shipwreck. The childn finds himself adrift on a life boat with a zebra, a hyena, an orangutang, a rat, and a Bengal tiger. Using knoledge he learned working in his father's zoo, the boy survives, as does the tiger. The writing is brilliant. The author's wit, wisdom, and humanity reaches into the readers soul. I loved it.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My grown children. I've learned so much loving them and raising them, I'm grateful for the experience.
  2. I'm thankful the education I received .
  3. My capacity to love is very large. I'm thankful for that.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I am not a pushover.

Friends Describe me as
