More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I love to read - especially science fiction and fantasy (favorite author would have to be either Mercedes Lackey or Stephen Donaldson) and to create things - I love crafts. I also love gardening; but flowers and not vegetables. I get much more out of seeing flowers grow - feeds the artistic side of me. Dancing is another passion - if my schedule allowed and I had someone to dance with, I could go at least two or three nights a week. Moving to the music is FUN!

I typically spend my leisure time

I like to read, but also like to get together with my friends to talk and have a glass of wine and just enjoy each other. I also like to go dancing - when I can talk a friend into going with me! Sometimes I'll take my dog for a long walk and just look at the birds and the trees.

The most influential person in my life has been

I don't think that I can give just one quality top priority; I would like to find someone who is warm, intelligent, "in tune" with who I am, who knows when to joke about something but who also knows when to be serious, and who likes themself. It's also important to me that this person like ALL of me - or at least 90%!

The first thing people notice about me

I've been told that I have a great smile - although my eyes crinkle up when I smile.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I've just unpacked some books that I had stored, so I've just found some books and re-read them. The last ones were the series by Barbara Hambly "The Darwath Trilogy". It was a fantasy series about two people that were transferred into another world; one where wizardry and magic worked. This world was under attack by another species that was only legend; and the initial attack basically destroyed their current civilization. The female from our world and the older wizard fell in love; the male fell in love as well; there was the regulation swordplay and banter, as well as some "bad guys" that were trying to take over. Formula - but fun!

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My son
  2. My ability to learn and think
  3. My success in my job

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I have no idea as to how to answer this!
