More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am not sure I am passionate about anything in particular -- passionate is a strong adjective. If I have to choose something I would say adventure. I like new, interesting experiences -- things that not everyone has seen or done.

I typically spend my leisure time

If leisure time means the times when you are not at your job, then the list is long. I attend all of my nieces and nephews events, I exercise, I read, I shop,I watch TV, I spend time with my dog, Abi, and I try to connect with friends either through email, the telephone or in person.

The most influential person in my life has been

Can there only be one? It is often the combination of qualities that makes a person desirable. I think balance is important. For instance, a strong work ethic but also time to play, a sense of humor and yet a serious side too, a desire to be connected with me but not a need to be with me all of the time.

The first thing people notice about me

That I am friendly and outgoing.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I enjoy every book I read. The latest one that sticks out in my mind is, "The Five People You Meet in Heaven". This story helps you think about how everything you do touches someone else and has the potential to have a life-altering effect on their life. I like thinking about how inter-connected we all are to each other. It continues to make me think about the smallest things I do. What I do makes a difference not only to me but to others as I am not in this world alone.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My family (to include my dog)
  2. My health
  3. My friends

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

My sincerity. I believe many people are so good at putting on a face for others to see that it is hard to recognize sincerity at first glance. With me, what you see is what you get -- at the first meeting and all those that follow.

Friends Describe me as

Caring, Generous, Outgoing, Perceptive
