More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am passionate about many things. God, his Word, and striving to maintain my christian walk are my passions first and foremost. I believe putting anything in front of God is wrong. Maintaining that priority in everyday life is the hard part. Outside of the spiritual realm, passions are about equally divided between my love for the outdoors and my love of flying. I thoroughly enjoy outdoorsy things like hiking, camping, fishing, and hunting. Equally enjoyable is a leisurely flight around the countryside in a small airplane. I have a lot of passion waiting for that special someone God has picked out for me!

I typically spend my leisure time

My leisure time is usually spent doing some sort of outdoor activity. I love alpine skiing and during the winter months, if I get a chance to get out on the slopes I take it. My friends and I also like to go out to the movies, shoot pool, go for a hike or rock climbing, or simply go to a restaurant and have a dinner socializing. I love to have fun, but I'm definitely not the party-animal type. I'd love to spend more time with my family, but unfortunately I live 5,000 miles from the rest of my family!

The most influential person in my life has been

One of the valuable qualities that a Godly woman (or man) can possess is an attitude of service. The ability to put another's needs before one's own is rare.

The first thing people notice about me

I'm told I have a nice smile. :)

The last book I read and enjoyed

The last book I read was a look at the doctrine of Christ titled "Jesus Christ Our Lord" by Walvoord. That was when I was in seminary a while ago.... Yeah, I haven't had the time to do much reading lately. :(

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Salvation. God's most valuable gift to humankind is the offer of salvation through Christ.
  2. I am so thankful for parents who love God, each other, and their kids with all their hearts.
  3. Supportive friends who spur me on toward truth and godliness.

Friends Describe me as

Generous, Hard Working, Loyal, Quiet

A little more about me

I think this would be a good place to give a succinct history of myself. I'm originally from rural Pennsylvania, but while I was in my early teens my parents became missionaries in Eastern Europe. I spent a few years there before coming back to the States for college. Being adventurous, I went to Alaska to get my degree in aviation technology (that would explain the flying thing). After graduating, I had the opportunity to receive Bible training that I didn't get in a secular University. That brought me back to PA where I attended seminary for a year. I'm now back in Alaska and plan to use my aviation experience in the State Troopers.
