More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Passion itself. I have spent my life developing my heart and soul. I consider my formal education, career, travel, and previous relationships as preparation for a soul mate.

I typically spend my leisure time

Typical? I have a multifaceted life. For example, last week I attended a lecture at the LBJ library, took in some jazz at Sullivan's Ringside, ate at my favorite Thai restaurant, caught a couple of classic B&W movies on TCM, read a bit, and surfed the internet.

The most influential person in my life has been

Intellect tempered with empathy. I'm looking for a woman who is not only interested in the complex issues of the day, but who can understand and relate to the people on all sides of the issue.

The first thing people notice about me

My confidence. I am at ease in a variety of settings, whether it be an elegant reception, political fund-raiser, charitable event, or tail-gate party; I'm comfortable.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Toss-up. The best book I've read in a year has been Ron Chernow's "Alexander Hamilton." I knew Hamilton was on the $10 bill, and was the first Secretary of the Treasury...but what an amazing man! The Da Vinci Code...because it is a smart thriller.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My intellect -- the ability to appreciate, analyze and interact in the world
  2. My family -- bright, kind, and caring; they are the foundation of my life
  3. My country -- freedom of speech, freedom of thought, and opportunity for all

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That I can stand tough. Sometimes people believe that because I am usually charming and humorous, that I have no backbone.

Friends Describe me as

Caring, Good listener, Intelligent, Perceptive
