More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Genuine relationships. Whether it's with family, friends or a romantic relationship, the ability to connect in conversation or understanding where sharing, venting, celebrating is comfortable and comforting. I value the ability to be authentically myself and welcome those that can give as openly. I realized this when my mother was critically ill, as my father ages, as my children are getting older and able to express themselves, as I make new friends and connect with old ones. More and more I value time for these relationships, not getting caught up and hurrying through life so that I can be free to enjoy them and give as well.

I typically spend my leisure time

Outdoor activities or with friends or reading.

The most influential person in my life has been

An ability to enjoy adventures as well as simple things, depth of character, a quit wit - ok, I couldn't limit it to one...

The first thing people notice about me

I'm open and friendly.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I read such a wide variety depending on my mood. My last book for fun & laughs was "Bridget Jone's Diary, Edge of Reason"; Mitch Album's "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" loved it for it's perspective on heaven; For mystery John Grisham's "The King of Torts (for beach reading); C.S. Lewis' The Lion, the Witch and The Wardrobe with my kids; How to Be Happy! Dammit!(a light, philosophical, satirical book on life - it's fun and enlightening).

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My children and my family
  2. Supportive, caring friends that I've developed
  3. My work that enables me to make a living and still enjoy time for family and myself

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

Don't have an answer for this..I'm pretty easy to get to know, I'd say I'm an open book.

Friends Describe me as

Genuine, Intelligent, Optimistic, Passionate
