More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Helping my children grow to be happy, productive people.

I typically spend my leisure time

Hanging out at the barn with the horses, watching old movies, watching Monterey Historics races in August, walking the East Bay hills with my 2 black labs, dancing, museums, concerts. I like to find little hole-in-the-wall restaurants that serve great Italian, Indian, Thai or Vietnamese. My fave beverages are dry red wines or a decaf non-fat latte...I know, why bother. I don't watch much TV but I do like Sopranos, 6 Ft. Under & Entourage.

The most influential person in my life has been

Kindness and an appreciation of the humor & irony in every day life.

The first thing people notice about me

My laugh.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Gods and Generals, partial civil war history. I like the author's style of focusing the narratives around individuals and their motivations. Now I'm going to have to go back and re-read Shelby Foote's civil war series to get the broader strategic picture again.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My 2 children
  2. Health
  3. A great career

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I'm really Cheryl Tiegs in disguise.

Friends Describe me as

Caring, Genuine, Happy, Hard Working

A little more about me

I like to cook great meals, serve them on a beautiful table with candles and share them with special people. I'm into music...Rolling Stones, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Fat Boy Slim, Ja Rule, Thelonius Monk, Dave Brubeck, Beethoven, Mahler and everything in between! Concerts at Concord Pavilion, a little blues club or Marion Davies Hall are all equally appealing. If you like Monty Python, Bill Murray movies and enjoy a healthy dose of irony now and then, we'll get along just fine. I'm also into 1960s muscle cars & football...I know the difference between a slant pattern and a screen play.
