More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am most passionate about art for art's sake. If I am not creating...I am not living.

I typically spend my leisure time

I spend my leisure time doing a variety of things. I love everything from horseback riding to curling up on the couch and watching kung fu movies. I also love video games (PC/XBOX/Gamecube) but I also love chess! I can be happy doing just about anything as long as I like the person(s) I'm doing it with.

The most influential person in my life has been

I am looking for a guy that is ambitious, sensitive, opinionated and respectful. I want a guy that is not afraid to tell me when I am wrong, but also recognizes when I'm right. I want someone that can grow with me.

The first thing people notice about me

People notice that I have strong opinions but always listen to other people's beliefs and points of view. I give everyone the benefit of the benefit of the doubt.

The last book I read and enjoyed

The last book I read was "King Rat" by China Mieville. Its about a man's post modern struggle to recognize his own free will and his encounters with a somewhat Byronic "anti-hero" who is king to the urban rats of London. I loved that it was a post modernist approach to philosophy, yet it was presented in a very classic way, with regards to the structure of the plot lines. Its a deliciously witty, suspensful and entertaining read.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. I am thankful that I have such an awesome, open minded and caring mother.
  2. I am thankful for my education.
  3. I am thankful for my ability to express myself in so many different ways.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I wish people would recognize my genuine sincerity. I feel like because I can be cynical or sarcastic (I am a writer after all), they sometimes do not trust my sincere concern for their happiness or feelings.
