More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am passionate about helping others. I get wonderful warm fuzzies when I do something to improve someone else's life. I believe that you cannot keep what you have unless you give some of it away. I have found a variety of ways to reach this goal. I'm employed as a nurse, volunteer at a small theater in Little Five Points, solicit and take donations to a local half-way house for recovering alcoholics & drug addicts, and collect box tops & soup labels for a local school.

I typically spend my leisure time

I try to do something just for fun at least once per week ~ more if I can swing it. My favorite things are the theater, movies, museums, small gatherings of friends, and intimate evenings.

The most influential person in my life has been

I am looking for a decent, down to earth, real person. I want a man who has some knowledge of who and what he is, and is content and comfortable with that knowledge. I really don't take very well to people who are pretentious or plastic.

The first thing people notice about me

A direct gaze and an honest response.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I am an avid reader. I enjoy just about every type of fiction except for pulp-fiction romances and sci-fi. I especially like a good mystery. I also enjoy non-fiction. It seems that I want to know something about everything and I learn quite a bit through books. I read both National Geographic and Smithsonian Magazine from cover to cover each month.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My spirituality
  2. My health and well being
  3. My strength of character

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

When I first meet someone, I am not always as open or spontaneous as I would like to be. I proudly march to the beat of a different drummer and look at life accordingly. Often, people have to get to know me before I reveal that side of myself.

Friends Describe me as

Funny, Genuine, Good listener, Intelligent

A little more about me

I view life as a journey, not a destination. I'm doing my very best to enjoy the trip. I am very devoted to friends who find their way into my inner circle and walk with me for a while.
