More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am passionate about children. I have none of my own, and greatly enjoy my profession as a teacher. I am constanly seeking ways to enrich my classroom to make it a more successful setting for learning. I also enjoy music, especially singing in my church's choir. This is an intrinsic part of my worship and a wonderful setting for fellowship.God has greatly blessed me. I have a home I love, a job I enjoy, Christian friends with which to share my life, and a great church to worship. The only thing not in my life is romantic love. I trust that in God's time, this love will come.

I typically spend my leisure time

I enjoy reading, doing cross-stitch, and playing with my pets.

The most influential person in my life has been

I am looking for a man who loves the Lord and wants to establish a Godly family.

The first thing people notice about me

My humor. I attempt to see the humorous side of most events. My parents and I chose to laugh during the hardships following Hurricane Katrina. God is in control and can be trusted in every situation.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I just finished Last Light by Terri Blackstock. She is a southern author, and her books speak to me. In this book, the world experiences a complete shutdown of all electronic and electrical products. Her description of the coping techniques the families had to adopt reminded me of the days after the hurricane. This book reminded me that hardships bring out the best and worst of a person. God is in control is the comforting thought throughout this story.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior
  2. My close relationship with my parents
  3. The wonderful job God has given me

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

My intelligence. I try to keep abreast of current affairs and want to share my understanding of how God is working in today's event.
