More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I would have to say that I'm most passionate about being active: active with friends (such as camping, playing sports, going out) and active individually (self exploration !not the nasty kind! but things like reading self exploration books, staying physically and emotionally fit) Basically I'm passionate about living a content life. Sounds kind of broad, but it's actually very simple (can't explain in 650 words)Ok, real passion: college sports - anything to do with sports really!

I typically spend my leisure time

Good question: I tend to be very random. I love being active, and I'm all about the need for rest and relaxation. I tend to go with my mood, ok here is a breakdown: Energetic mood: mountain biking, hit the gym, racquet ball, and hiking (altough living in Chicago doesn't lend well to this activity). Relaxed mood: Go for a walk, read, watch a good movie, watch a bad movie, watch TV, and sit on the back porch (wow that sounds rednecky).

The most influential person in my life has been

Someone who can express how they feel without fear. I believe that you should be able to express your feelings (good or bad) without fear of rejection. I also feel that repressing your feelings will end a relationship in a snap. We are all adults.

The first thing people notice about me

My ability to talk with just about anyone. It's fun to find something that a person is interested in and explore (even if it's something that is of no interest to me, this helps you get to really know someone).

The last book I read and enjoyed

The 'Tao of Pooh': the book explains the priniples of Taoism through the childhood story character of Winnie the Pooh. (very entertaining, funny, quick read!) What did I like the most: how the book shows the practices of Taoism are based upon simplicity and enjoying the moment. (those are very hard principles to live by)

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My family, not much more description needed
  2. My open mind, especially coming from a conservative family
  3. My friends; they are my family away from my family

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

Friends Describe me as

Generous, Outgoing, Passionate, Spontaneous
