More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Abuse of children would have to be my highest priority. However I am also concerned in the dissolution of family life in America. Families should be truly happy and enjoy their time together instead of seeing it as work all the time and eventually looking for a way out. I am active in Politics and am very concerned about the War on Terrorism. I have a son in Naval Intelligence who has served his time and been in Iraq and still will not be discharged b/c of this war. I worry about what's to happen to him, his wife and yr. old son.

I typically spend my leisure time

With my dog on long walks, reading, watching a good movie. I visit friends. I enjoy being with my grandchildren when I can. I knit, crochet and love crafts. I love to cook is there is someone to cook for. I'm a neat freak and clean a lot.

The most influential person in my life has been

Hosesty, sincerity, good moral character. Someone who enjoys life one day at a time. A true friend.

The first thing people notice about me

I am quiet but happy. I am comforatable in most situations but prefer to go places with someone else. I can speak to people on most any level and make them feel what they are saying is important. I don't like vulgarity but am always up for a good joke and uaually have a few up my sleeve. I have a song or saying for every situation.

The last book I read and enjoyed

The last book I truly enjoyed was Tuesdays With Morrie. It described a rekindled relationship between a student and his beloved professor who waas dying. He helped him through the process and both learned more about themselves. It was touching and showed a real sense of human caring for an old friend.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. MY CHILDREN
  2. MY GRANDCHILDREN
  3. MY FAITH

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

My intelligence. Since my retirement, it doesn't always seem that I am as worthwhile as the working force and this is not true.

Friends Describe me as

Caring, Good listener, Loyal, Spiritual

A little more about me

Being honorable and having integrity is very important to me. I have been with one man my entire life. I have not dated around and am very new to this and somewhat frightened.
