The one thing I am passionate about...
The latest book I have been reading called "Getting The Love You Want", by Harville Hendrix, Ph.D. It's about how couples can become more successful at communicating their caring and love for each other; how the relationship can be rescued from a very bad one to become a very honest and happy one. I am thrilled at finding this book and have more hope that any relationship I get involved in will last with a mate who is also desirous to have it last. I am passionate about art, music and beauty. Gardening is presently a form of art expression that I am enjoying these days. My daughter has a special place in my heart also.
I typically spend my leisure time
I work two jobs. What leisure time I do have, I spend at the library, the museums, at the gym, or reading on my terrace with the flowers all around me in my garden. I also enjoy meditation in the nearby field for achieving real deep relaxation.
The most influential person in my life has been
If I only get to speak about one quality, it would have to be passion. This passion can be expressed in loving, in one's work, in one's way of doing things, in caring about honesty of communication, and in one's thinking style. It's about how one lives and relates, with aliveness and interest or it's opposite would be deadness and lack of interest. It's about joy of living and doing. It's about honesty of feelings.
The first thing people notice about me
People notice that I can turn a sad point of view around, to see the other side of a bad situation, to see that it can be viewed as a blessing.
The last book I read and enjoyed
I am dieting with the book, "Fat Flush Plan", by Ann Louise Gittleman. This book has given me new insight into how to eat healthy and have more energy. This is truly a godsend type of book because it is working. I am getting healthier, more energetic, stronger, and thinner. It is an entirely new way to think about food and what foods to avoid.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My physical ability to bounce back from illness or injury.
- My mental ability to find solutions to my problems or setbacks.
- My mental ability to find things to keep me interested in life.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
That I am young at heart, innovative, and kind. Many people are afraid and self-protective when you first meet them. That wall of self protection is sometimes had to break through so that there can be some real communication. I wish people could see that I don't have a wall up to protect myself.
Friends Describe me as
Affectionate, Articulate, Energetic, Good listener
A little more about me
I have alot of drive for self improvement. Not that I think of myself as dumb, I think that one should always think of continuing to learn as there are so many things about which one can learn. That keeps me going. There is always something new to learn about. That keeps my life interesting.
