More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

My faith and my belief in humankind. It took me most of my life to learn the difference between religion and faith. I have very little interest in organized religion; however, I realize it is how people of faith congregate. My relationship with God did not develop until I grew beyond my early experiences with organized religion. I believe we are here for a purpose and that purpose is to live and contribute to the betterment of humankind - by utilizing the unique gifts God gave each of us. For me, life is a journey of continuous improvement - so lead, follow or get the hell out of my way! :c)

I typically spend my leisure time

Reading, writing or walking on the beach; sometimes I just like to watch people and imagine what their lives are about.

The most influential person in my life has been

Honesty...100% of the time. From this foundation all else can be resolved.

The first thing people notice about me

My smile...it is what I give freely to everyone I meet. I smile because I am happy to see another human being and sometimes I am amazed by the hesitancy with which it is greeted by strangers; some of whom seem to have not seen one (or given one) in a while.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Blink...What an incredible book. It supports the view that pre-judgement is deterimental when dealing with humans. I recommend it to everyone. Before "Blink"..."Angels and Demons" by Dan Brown. It is the single most important fictional account I've read. It accurately describes the historical significance of science and technology vs. religion. We are more connected than ever with the World Wide Web and yet we live in isolation. Each person unto themselves and/or their family...the sense of community and faith seems to be eroding at an alarming rate.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Life itself
  2. My son
  3. My relationship with God ...to whom I am most thankful for the other two things

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I ALWAYS have a plan "B"...and I am exactly what I appear to be. A lot of people are mistrustful of someone who seems genuinely open and compassionate. I realize it takes time to know the essence of a person; yet life is short...I tend to cut to the chase because "we may never pass this way again".

Friends Describe me as

Creative, Genuine, Loyal, Spiritual

A little more about me

I'm not searching...I am merely open to the experience and the possibility that another human being could be my "perfect match".
