More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Being someone my young nieces love, someone they like ... the relationship I have w my family and friends ... my photography

I typically spend my leisure time

running around ... gardening and landscaping ... reading ... cooking ... classes ... teaching my youngest niece how to wash the dog, take care of potted plants and swing.

The most influential person in my life has been

the ability to be the kind of best friend we all had when we were 8 ... when we were fearless and tried new things just to try them, when we were insatiably curious and loyal and bravehearted

The first thing people notice about me

that I smile, have a good hand shake... or that I mix vintage pieces with new? i dont know.

The last book I read and enjoyed

reading "Hagakure; The Book of the Samurai", and Ryszard Kapuscinski's "The Shadow of the Sun". Both non-fiction. The first is essentially the numerations of 17th century samurai dogma, its philosophy. The second is about being a war correspondent in Africa in the middle/late 20th century.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. my family
  2. the people i love
  3. my artistic talent

Friends Describe me as

Affectionate, Creative, Outgoing, Warm

A little more about me

Despite the attempts since childhood to change this-- good schools w nuns, hours around the kitchen table laboring over homework, etc -- I spell terribly.
