More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Stories, ones I'm writing, ones I'm reading, ones I'm watching, true ones, ficticious ones. Being who we were meant to be instead of in mediocrity. Living enroute for Eden. Travel because it goes hand in hand with adventure, I'd like to go Africa, China, Australia, South America, outer Space...maybe some will have to wait for the new Earth, but we'll see. Martial Arts, fighting evil (I know it sounds corny, but all that is needed for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing), I've been tempted to be Batman =)

I typically spend my leisure time

Writing. I've been writing pretty seriously as a hobby for about six years, I'm hoping to have my first story published or at least submitted in the next year.

The most influential person in my life has been

Faith in Jesus Christ, that's the most important, next would be strength of character. She can't be drawing her identity from me and she has to be able to tell me lovingly if she thinks I'm wrong about something.

The first thing people notice about me

That I'm a quiet person at first, I like to have fun and excitement, but I don't generally do stupid things. I may go bouldering without safety gear, but I'm not a guy who gets drunk and does retarded things.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Hmmm, Xenocide, it's a sequel to Ender's Game both by Orson Scott Card. I didn't like it as much as Ender's Game, it didn't have the pace that some of his books have, but I like the back drop of moral dilemnas set in a scifi universe, but in truth what I like even more is the human stories. The best stories of fiction I think are ones set against a backdrop that takes you to another world whether within reality or fantasy and yet maintains familiarity with problems that any person can identify with.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Being me, as I understand more and more who God made me, I am more thankful for who I will become.
  2. For financial provision.
  3. For people who care about me.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

Well I know this isn't about appearance, but I generally get judged as younger than I am and only if they take the time to get to know me do they realize I actually do have a breadth of maturity and experience.

Friends Describe me as

Creative, Good listener, Perceptive, Respectful

A little more about me

I'm looking for something to start as friendship as grow into something more, so I think its important that if you like what you've seen so far that you too want to be friends first and not put on the pressure of something more until that is built.
