The one thing I am passionate about...
The importance of leading a life true to one's real self, regardless of what that life path may entail. The search for enlightened wisdom and the odd places wisdom can come from. Okay, that's the lofty side.. I also enjoy tennis (play 3 or 4 times a week and have a pretty decent backhand, ha), going out for a beer at a nice pub, or doing a backyard BBQ.. I'm an aspiring writer and photographer though by no means even remotely accomplished at this time, ha. I'm not a pushover or obsessive/compulsive about anything in my life..
I typically spend my leisure time
Whatever is fun and relaxing. In the spring and summer, that is vegetable gardening or travel, lakes, the beach. I'm pretty heavily into tennis now, so that's a big thing.. though I don't expect a partner to talk about it day and night with me... it's how I stay fit and I love the competition...I also like anything from hiking, camping to a good movie or good times with family. I enjoy all new experiences.
The most influential person in my life has been
An adventurous mind.
The first thing people notice about me
I don't know... I've never had the opportunity to be out and about and notice myself for the first time.. I've worked to avoid too many out-of-body experiences lately, ha. I suppose I could conduct a mall-intercept study.....hmm.
The last book I read and enjoyed
Dune Chronicles. A glimpse into a future where humans excel but are still awkwardly restrained by their own limitations. A little commentary here.. I don't really like this question as it assumes that everyone takes the time to read books (and kind of forces a person to feel like an idiot if they haven't been reading 'books' for a while) ha.. I love reading and writing but I've been so darned busy over the past few years.. I hope you know what I mean...ha.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- Work ethic instilled by my immigrant parents
- The opportunities afforded me by the experiences I've had
- For true friends who see through to the genuine person inside
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
If I had to guess, sometimes my sincerity and the determination behind that.
Friends Describe me as
Modest, Passionate, Respectful, Warm
A little more about me
I'd like to meet a woman who inspires me to do and appreciate all of those little but important things in life that really make a difference in being happy and at peace. Also, I have cats as pets... (just 4 strays I took in in conjunction with a previous relationship, not 9 or 15, ha) and am a big animal lover. If you're wigged out about a guy having cats (or are allergic), chances are we may not get on too well. Just a bit of honesty there. Cheers, Karl.
