More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I'm most passionate about my work... I love what I do, though I realize the importance of leaving it at the office. As a result of the hurricane, my university is eliminating my department (and my job) and I will be starting my own company over the course of the next year.

I typically spend my leisure time

It all depends on the day and weather. I enjoy hanging out with my friends at a bar, at the park, at the museum. I also enjoy working on my house and playing with my cats. I'm just happy all of this still exists.

The most influential person in my life has been

A passion for something... her work, her pets, her hobby; just a passion for something. That way she can understand the passion I feel towards the things that I do.

The first thing people notice about me

I have been told it is my friendliness.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Coyote Blue - It was about a Crow who left the reservation when he was young because he killed someone. He took on a different persona and refused to acknowledge his identity. His spirit guide, Old Man Coyote the trickser, comes into his life one day and he falls in love, loses his job, gets in a fight with a biker on meth, steals a baby, and a whole bunch of other things. It is a very funny book but also has alot of seriousness to it.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. That I survived Katrina and took care of my friends and neighbors along the way.
  2. My health and friends' health
  3. That my city recovers to some resemblance of its pre-K being.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That I am genuinely interested in getting to know people and learning from them. I've taken some pretty off-the-beaten-path classes and lessons over the years.

Friends Describe me as

Good listener, Hard Working, Intelligent, Sweet

A little more about me

Hmmmm.. I prefer to walk places whenever possible.
