More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I'm passionate about my service to the church. I'm involved in several ministries and volunteer in several ways. It is not a perfect church, but then again, no church is.

I typically spend my leisure time

I spend some time on the computer (how else would I have found eharmony?) I try to attend some sporting events. I play softball with my church during the spring. I also like attending the big touring musicals, orchestra concerts, and good movies (which are rare these days). I also try to go on short jogs or hit the gym a few times a week to stay somewhat active.

The most influential person in my life has been

I am looking for someone who is honest with themselves and with others, someone with a warm personality, and someone who can be the best of friends with me. She must be a Christian, go to church, and love the Lord. Basically, the ideal would be a Proverbs 31 woman. Also, if she likes to travel on occasion, then that is a definite plus for me.

The first thing people notice about me

First impressions are that I am not very outgoing personality-wise, but once you get to know me, things get more relaxing.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I just finished a book called "Predictably Irrational" by Dan Ariely. It illustrates several situations where humans tend to act in ways we might not anticipate. Also, I just started a John MacArthur book entitled "Hard To Believe" for a men's Bible study at my church.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Being a Christian
  2. My close friends
  3. Having the ability to support myself

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

My loyality. If you are my friend, then it's very hard to get rid of me. :) But seriously, I'm a dedicated person. If I make a commitment (to a church, a job, a friend, etc), then it's my personality to do my part.

Friends Describe me as

Good listener, Intelligent, Loyal, Thoughtful

A little more about me

My hobbies: I play in the church orchestra. I like to travel (already mentioned, I think). I've been to twelve different countries and am always looking forward to my next adventure. I'm always looking to go to someplace new. I'm not the super athletic type, but I try to jog or hit the gym a few times a week. I'm slow as dirt. but I may run a 5K race on occasion. And, oh yeah, I have Saints season tickets. :)
