More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

"Most passionate" seems to zero in on only one issue so I'll answer "life". Life with its ups & downs; my relationship with Jesus Christ, my family, people, and home are significant to me. I enjoy life, desiring to share it with someone who also loves the Lord, family, & appreciates living life; am looking to the Lord for direction. My best friend loves people & animals, would give the shirt off his back to someone in need, helps others, and is smart.

I typically spend my leisure time

I tend to be a do-er more than an observer. I enjoy baking brownies or cookies giving most of them away so others can also enjoy them & I don't eat them all. Puttering in the yard and walking the dogs are relaxing; picking up in the house a satisfying necessity. Presently I'm involved in Bible Study Fellowship and work out in the gym. Fox News gives me more than one perspective of goings-on. Occassionally I go enjoy the sites and sounds of the Oregon Coast. I especially enjoy spending time with people (esp 1:1 or in small groups) walking, talking, eating together. And I rest; rest is wonderful.

The most influential person in my life has been

An important quality to me is helping others; realizing the value of people and enjoying their company.

The first thing people notice about me

This is the first time I've ever considered this. I'd say people notice that I accept them and most feel comfortable talking with me.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Heaven is for Real. Young Colby's experience in heaven during surgery causes me to joyfully imagine what deceased family members and others are experiencing in heaven. And actually being there will be a whole lot more!

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. God's love & faithfulness over the years
  2. Family & (especially long-time) friends.
  3. I like what I "do for a living".

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That I can use help pruning bushes and pulling weeds in the yard. And if you have a cure for keeping moles out of the yard I'm eager to hear it! :)

Friends Describe me as

Caring, Easy-Going, Generous, Hard Working
