The one thing I am passionate about...
I'm passionate about seeing the light come on in people's eyes as they realize there is a solution to the pain of addiction. I'm passionate about being of service as they grow out of that pain, and blossom into healthy, happy, loving, spiritual beings having an earthly experience.
I typically spend my leisure time
I hate to admit it - I love to shop. Luckily, I enjoy the hunt and refuse to pay retail. I also love the ocean- swimming and general beach fun. I want to learn to surf. Plus theatre, music, yoga, parks.
The most influential person in my life has been
Honesty. I value honesty in all aspects of life from the way two people relate to each other in a relationship, to how I (we) deal with life's daily situations.
The first thing people notice about me
I'm overflowing with love of life. I love to laugh and am not very inhibited. If I hear my favorite song, I might have to get up and dance. I do, however, know how to behave in public when necessary.
The last book I read and enjoyed
"Illuminata" by Marianne Williamson. It's a book of prayers which touch my heart. They are so beautifully written and speak to so many different aspects of my life. "'Illuminata' shows that prayer is practical, a way to create a sweeter, more abundant life for ourselves and the people we care for." (lifted from the back cover)
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My faith in God and the power of prayer and meditation.
- The ability to communicate my love and understanding for and with my family and friends.
- My sobriety and all I have learned and can give away, to help others who suffer the same disease.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
Sometimes I think my happy, loving-life attitude comes off as "dingy blonde". I would like people to realize I'm happy, funny and smart. When I get excited about something I grab for words, but only because my mind races ahead of where my words are.
Friends Describe me as
Easy-Going, Funny, Spiritual, Spontaneous
A little more about me
My search for bliss could and probably should be expanded outside of the small towns in which I live.
