The one thing I am passionate about...
(Just a quick note: my subscription expires March 12, '08, and I probably won't re-up.) Now, the news: I'm most passionate about my faith and my son. He's just the best. We're very close and love spending time together. After that, it'd be my family and friends, and enjoying time with them. And of course, my silly boxer pup, Bruiser, who always makes us laugh.
I typically spend my leisure time
Hanging out with friends, hiking, golf and skiing (never at the same time), kicking puppies (kidding!), spending time with my son, working out, and going out to a show or concert when the chance arises. Of course, curling up with a good book after a long day is pretty great, too... If I may, I ask that you please not stereotype me because I live in Vegas. I don't gamble (raising a teenager is gambling enough), don't go to casinos (not partial to the cacophony of slot machines or the acrid smell of stale cigarette smoke), don't do illegal drugs (that's a deal-breaker for me), and have never been to a strip club/nudy bar (and never will).
The most influential person in my life has been
MOST important quality? Hmmm... a conspicuous absence of facial warts. Okay, I'll get serious. (Sorry, sometimes I think I'm funny...) Four things: chemistry, compatibility, character, and self-awareness (dealing with one's junk). My match is committed to Christ and emotionally healthy. After that, she's witty and humorous, sophisticated (yet down-to-earth), exudes PMA (positive mental attitude) and has something between her ears. (I know, I know, that's more than one... so sue me.)
The first thing people notice about me
Lemme think... I suppose my ready smile and sense of humor.
The last book I read and enjoyed
Read a bunch of stuff after my divorce (more than 5 years ago) to help me get my head together and identify important qualities in a life-partner: Boundaries in Dating, Finding the Love of Your Life, Date or Soul Mate, Falling In Love For All The Right Reasons, Five Love Languages. For fun: a few bios on Alexander the Great & the most recent Harry Potter book (hard to put down); right now: The Sacred Romance by John Eldredge--great book on how our hearts yearn for God's despite the pain and negative experiences that lead us away from Him. Also, a bunch of stuff on the Openness of God movement. I usually have a couple books going at once.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- For all the second chances, and forgiveness, God gives me
- My son, who is the apple of my eye
- For good times with friends & family, and a sense of humor that keeps me from taking it all TOO seriously...
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
Probably that I'm not as confident as I might appear, and that I'm perhaps more sensitive than I let on.
Friends Describe me as
Intelligent, Outgoing, Passionate, Warm
A little more about me
I'm blessed with a great son, great relationship with my folks, great church, and great job. It'd be the cherry on top to find a great gal to share it with. I need to let you know up front that I cant relocate, as I split custody of my son and my business is here. About my match: You're down-to-earth, comfortable in your own skin, youthful & want to grow. You're emotionally healthy & available (for drama I'll watch Shakespeare) & aren't looking to be saved or fixed (we'll do that to the dog). You're serious about your faith & staying fit. I know it's a long shot to find you, but I think you're worth waiting for.
