More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Most of my personal interests revolve around history or religion. I sing in the choir at church and take an active interest in my relationship with God. I would not trade being Orthodox for anything. It has been the most difficult and yet most rewarding element of my life. I am also interested in history, for it allows me to connect with the past experiences of people. In some respects, it allows me to understand who I am.

I typically spend my leisure time

I like to walk, read, eat out, and most of all, talk about important, conversationalesque things! Put another way, I enjoy talking. I express my deepest feelings better in writing than verbally.

The most influential person in my life has been

I'm looking for someone that's an Orthodox Christian. I'm not looking for someone that's perfect in everyway, but a person who is not satisfied that they've become all that they can be in life. I'm looking for someone down-to-earth, but realizes that there is more to life than merely this earth. I want someone that I relate to, and moreover, a person who respects themselves. In other words, I enjoy being around those people that work well in symbiotic settings and don't try to lord power over people. AOL AIM sn is sierraoyster.

The first thing people notice about me

That I seem to be far too mature for my age.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I read "Cloud by Day" by Muriel Sheppard... an account from the 1940s of the western Pennsylvania coalfields. However, "Eichmann in Jerusalem" by Hannah Ardent on the former Nazi official of the same name remains one of the most powerful in recent memory. I enjoy Kahlil Gibran, too. I guess that's more than one book... oh, well...

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My religion
  2. Personal health
  3. Friends and family

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That I do care about what goes on around me, but that people never give me a chance to be myself. I'm written-off as boring or strange, but I feel no need to keep learning to myself.

Friends Describe me as

Intelligent, Loyal, Perceptive, Spiritual

A little more about me

I go well with parents. Your mom will definately like me. I'm just worried more about her daughter standing me!
