More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Remaining creative and optimistic, being fair, and treating others as I would be treated.

I typically spend my leisure time

Playing guitar and listening to music; although sometimes I channel surf more than I probably should. When I have someone to enjoy it with, I like to go walking or LIGHT hiking, especially in a forest or naturally beautiful outside setting. Or just walking the dog around the neighborhood is good, too.

The most influential person in my life has been

Someone who realizes that NOTHING in this life is more important than love, and being at peace with yourself. I like nice electronics, but am neither obsessed with nor driven by a need to possess them. I'm looking for someone who is loosely attached to their material possessions, and does not view having lots of "toys" as the only measure of success and happiness.

The first thing people notice about me

That when new people are meeting, I will make jokes in order to lighten everyone up. Not like stand-up jokes--just puns or references to TV shows/movies, if I can work them in. It makes me feel relaxed and hopefully others, too.

The last book I read and enjoyed

It was "Heaver Than Heaven", a biography about Kurt Cobain. It took me about 3 months to finally finish it--I'm not a "reader"--not in a regular habit of reading each day. As a teenager/young adult, I admired Kurt, and I enjoyed reading about the minutae of his everyday life, even though some of it is sort of sad. But also...some lessons to be learned. And the music was amazing and continues to influence bands old and new today.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My parents for teaching me to value honesty and manners
  2. Having all limbs and no debilitating diseases
  3. Being born with a chance to use my mind to help me through life

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I may be overweight to some degree, but otherwise I have nicely proportioned and tan arms and legs, with a light cover of body hair.

Friends Describe me as

Creative, Funny, Good listener, Modest

A little more about me

While I feel that industriousness and order are positive things, I also feel that most people take life too seriously. I also tend to lean toward the Left, but on a few select issues am surprisingly on the Right/conservative...eh, Republican on a few select issues. Although attraction and love can grow out of almost any relationship, I have a feeling that a woman who is similarly dispositioned as I would enjoy each other's company.
