More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Interacting with students be it as a biology teacher or yearbook advisor or really any student. It's awesome to see the glow in their eyes or the smile on their faces or the puzzling looks. Being with kids makes me feel ageless until I look in the mirror and wonder who the heck I'm looking at.

I typically spend my leisure time

Actualy depends on what's going on. At times I like walking or driving in the rain or early morning or in the evening, or doing some gardening, reading a novel or magazine dealing with ideas for changing the internal and external appearance of my house, listening to music from oldies, to classics, to light country, watching a football game or a movie. Going to a county fair and watch the horse shows and horse or oxen pulls.

The most influential person in my life has been

A person who is capable of compromise. Win-lose situations occur when playing competive sports or board games. A person who can be a good friend.

The first thing people notice about me

I like to listen to what folks have to say before I will say something other than the usual greeting.

The last book I read and enjoyed

A spy thriller by Robert Ludlum. As usual, the main character is a deep-cover operative for some American secret intelligence group and this time this group is going "bad." How Ludlum weaves the characters and their background just will not allow you to put the book down until the end.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Having a son who is succesful and enjoys life.
  2. Having students who enjoy learning, interacting, discussing, and being honest.
  3. The opportunity for early retirement and the chance experience new things.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I'm friendly type of person who is initially quiet and reserve, and who needs to know a person before I open up to a person. That

Friends Describe me as
