The one thing I am passionate about...
my church, my Kairos Ministry, my family, carpentry, construction of any kind, reading, computer games, jigsaw puzzles, friends, social events, music (religious & easy listening) am willing to experience new things, but not very daring.
I typically spend my leisure time
doing things around the house, reading, jigsaw puzzles, tv,, crossword puzzles, some wood crafting, carpentry, Am unwilling to travel, eat out, or attend functions alone
The most influential person in my life has been
A person who is honest. I have a negative view of "stretching the truth" and cannot abide lying. I would like my partner to be uprightly honest about me and to me.
The first thing people notice about me
I am not sure what others notice about me. I am frequently unsure that they are not "being nice" when they compliment me. I do know that a lot of people remark that I have a beautiful smile, and an outgoing personality.
The last book I read and enjoyed
cannot remember last book. I read about 20 books a month. one of my favorites is "Three Cups of Tea" the true story Greg Mortensen, who built schools in Afghanistan to educate both boys and girls in order to promote peace in an environment of hatred and violence. Am a voracious reader.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My faith that the Lord takes care of me adequately.
- My family- my children, grandchildren, etc
- my health and freedom
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
my unwillingness to intrude on others privacy or lives. I always wait for them to make the first step forward to a friendship. This is frequently seen as uncaring or standoffish. I am not inclined to show my emotions publicly. I sometimes appear to be uncaring because of my lack of "forwardness"
Friends Describe me as
Creative, Dependable, Hard Working, Loyal
A little more about me
I am somewhat nervous about meeting and dating. I have been single for over 20 years, no entanglements
