More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Learning about people & understanding what makes them tick.

I typically spend my leisure time

Physical activity has is central to my life. I run, just trained for & completed my first marathon. Yoga has become a passion & I relish the way it makes me feel and puts me in touch with the physical. Part of the reason I run is so that I can eat! I enjoy entertaining, cooking & wine...Dining out with friends is one of my most frequent & favorite activities. Also a fan of live music. Tend to prefer smaller venues and alt country/R&B/rock genres. Enjoy other cultural endeavors such as readings, exhibits, movies theater & reading & travel when I can.

The most influential person in my life has been

I think of it as "blowing wind in each other's sails"! That is, we are each better people, able to acheive more, be happier, more centered etc. because we are with each other. Now, I am not sure that is a specific quality, but to acheive such an objective I believe that my match must be an optimistic person, generally happy with himself and the world.

The first thing people notice about me

That I am well spoken and generally poised.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Bel Canto - A wonderful story about a birthday party hosted by a Latin American country for a Japanese businessman with a passion for opera. The man attends his party to hear a world-renowned opera star. Terrorists raid the party expecting to kidnap the country's president who isn't in attendance. Instead they take everyone hostage. The tale follows the development of relationships between the terrorists, opera star, party-goers and a translator who speaks Japanese, Spanish, English, Italian & Russian. It is a gorgeously written reflection on art, relationships, communication, language & power. The only hitch was a disappointing ending.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Friends
  2. Health
  3. Family

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

Initially I tend to show my serious side, but I have a good sense of humor and often take a lighter approach to life than first impressions convey.

Friends Describe me as

Caring, Energetic, Intelligent, Optimistic
